Dr. Michael Ralph, M.D.

 

Dr. Ralph practices orthopedics and orthopedic surgery at our Jefferson location and St. Alexius Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Peter J Anderson

Before moving to St. Louis, Dr. Anderson founded a large orthopedic surgery practice in Illinois and
served as the chief executive officer for 14 years.  The transition to St. Louis brought a portion of Dr. Anderson’s practice and the opportunity to share office space with Dr. Clayton R. Perry. He has made presentations to the American Academy of Orthopedic and served as Chief of Surgery at three area hospitals.

Dr. Anderson is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.  He received his Doctorate in Medicine at the John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his residency at the Mayo Graduate School of medicine in Rochester, MN. During his time in school Dr. Anderson was elected to his College’s Athletic Hall of Fame, name the nation’s top student/athlete and received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

Dr. Anderson and his wife, Joella, have three sons and one daughter.

Dr. Tony Chien

Dr. Chien is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.  He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.  He received his undergraduate education at University of California at Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Chien treats a wide variety of orthopedic problems, including arthritis, trauma, sports injuries, hand and foot problem, fractures and occupational injuries.  He performs arthroscopic repair as well as total joint replacement for the finger, toe, elbow, shoulder, hip and knee.  He is dedicated to the treatment of lower back pain and provides a wide variety of spine procedures for all of his patients, both noninvasive and invasive. His specialties include herniated disc, osteoporosis, spinal stenosis, fractures and degenerative conditions of the lumbar and thoracic spine.

Dr. Chien conducts a thorough examination after which he has an extended discussion with each patient and their family.  Only then will he decide the course of treatment that would best

suit each patient to achieve the best possible outcome.  Acute and chronic lower back pain is treated with multiple conservative approaches and with minimally invasive treatments.  He will also provide fusion and reconstruction of unstable spine.
